Hi,
I’m Simon Earles, the principal of Signet Consulting
& Migration. I am a migration agent registered by the
Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA), to provide
Australian immigration advice for fees. I am also a member
of the Migration Institute of Australia, the professional
body for my industry.
As a registered migration
agent I am obliged to keep appraised of rapidly changing developments
and legislative amendments, and accrual of a required number
of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points is mandatory
for renewal of my migration agent’s registration. As
a further protection to intending clients I am bound by the
Code
of Conduct, promulgated by the MARA. The Code sets out
best practices when dealing with clients and it places a clear
responsibility upon agents to act in the very best interests
of their clients.
Regrettably this protection
has not been extended overseas; so many migration offshore
agents remain unregistered. Consequently using such agents
can be risky as the quality of their Australian immigration
advice and, at times, their character and methods are questionable.
By way of background, I am
a solicitor by training and am admitted to practice in the
Supreme Courts of Tasmania and Queensland.

Registered Migration
Agent No. 0214055 |
Whilst I choose not to practice
as a solicitor, but rather as a migration agent, my legal background
assists me in my migration practice particularly when dealing with
research or ethical issues, which arise in the usual course of our
business. I am also a registered Commissioner for Declarations (C.Dec)
in Queensland.
I have travelled widely, and was
indeed a migrant myself at a very young age, coming to Australia
from the United Kingdom with my parents in the early 1960s. More
recently I have returned to Australia with my family, after almost
14 years, where I worked with the HK Government, before and after
the historic hand-over in 1997. This time has given me a unique
perspective on the workings and thought processes in the halls of
Government!
It is my very great pleasure
to offer my services to you, to assist you in choosing the most
appropriate visa option to maximize your chances, and then successfully
negotiating the complexities (and vagaries) of the migration system
we all have to work with, to secure your right to migrate to this
great country!
